If you are considering your own path of recovery & embracing the work to heal yourself from unhealthy, codependent behaviors & thinking, be kind & gentle with yourself in the process. Refrain from any criticism, or beating yourself up, or negative self talk. Keep in mind you likely either learned the behaviors within your family system or developed the behaviors as a form of ‘coping mechanism’.

Finding our Gratitude & Appreciation in Times of Challenge
One of the most difficult things to do is find gratitude and appreciation, even in times of challenges, struggles, and hardships. Whether we find ourselves starting over in life, or financially struggling, facing losses, or dealing with health complications, or any long list of life situations, which may arise, we can find comfort when we lean into our spiritual practices, and apply gratitude and appreciation.
